Our Apartment

The Building
Our apartment retains much of its 1890s charm but with all the modern comforts. The building itself is a trip back through history. As it currently stands, the hallways and stairwells are un-renovated and tell a story of their own. The building is not only one of the few in the area to have survived two world wars but also still retains some of the 'decorations' from its East Berlin era.

The Layout
The apartment features 3 bedrooms- a master bedroom with a king sized bed, a double bedroom with two full sized single beds and a large guest room with two full sized single beds and a large desk that can be used as an office.
There are two full bathrooms. One with a bath, separate shower, double sink and washer and dryer.
The large 'Berliner Zimmer' is the centre of the home with a huge eat in kitchen, high end appliances and dining room.
The spacious living room as a large smart TV (also with Apple TV) and a digital piano.

The Neighborhood
Our apartment is nestled between two of the most walkable neighbourhoods in Berlin- the Kollwitzkiez and the Winsviertel.
Enjoy a stroll in the Kollvitzstrasse markets on Saturday mornings or a meal at the historic Prenzlauer berg Watertower or stroll down Winstrasse to enjoy gourmet ice cream or one of the many wine bars.
We are on the M2 Tram line (direct to Alexanderplatz) and a short walk from the M10 and the U2.
Conveniently, we have a Lidl grocery store at our doorstep as well as a Biomarkt 5 minutes walk away

About Us
We are an Australian/American family currently living in between Berlin and Wellington (yep, it's a big 'in between'!)
Nick works in the film industry which has taken us all around the world over the past 16 years. We have lived in Sydney, LA, Nashville, Vancouver, London, Brussels, Berlin and Wellington.
Lexi is a mediator working with families in Australia and New Zealand.
Even though work keeps us Down Under for the short term at the moment, we try to get home to Berlin at least once a year to enjoy the Christmas vacation in our apartment and give our kids a 'base'.
